I took my crv in to dealership for a recall notice and they said I needed another 550.00 of work done. I took the car to Dave, and as he always has done he told me honestly, that everything was in good working order. All I needed was brake line flushed and filled. 170.00 bucks. Gave me an opinion about how soon I'd need brake pads and to think about tires in the spring. I won't use anyone else.

Took my car in a day early so they could start work early on day of appointment. Actually got it fixed that day. Needed a starte and told them to look it over for anything else. Never worry about getting charged for anything that's no necessary because it's a 2009. Mark even picked me up at my home when it was done so I wouldn't have to walk. Can't say enough good things!!!

Not only did they replace my oil pan and brakes the day I dropped it off, after I picked up my car the same day I noticed they'd applied adhesive to the seals that has begun to peel away from the door windows all the way around the car . . . without me having said a thing about it. That's not why I always go back for any and every auto maintenance issue--it's their great work, honesty and transparency--but it sure does prove how much they care about their customers.

I had been told that my 2005 Toyota Highlander would need new tires this coming winter, unless we have a mild winter. Because I sometimes transport my loving grandchildren, I didn't want to chance waiting to see what type of winter we'd have. I especially appreciate that Northend Wrench suggested a business for me to purchase my tires. I told Mark that I'd like to do some research on my own and, lo and behold, five other places that I checked out (including two others that Mark had suggested) could not match the cost of the one business that Northend suggested, including mounting and hazard warranty. I've patronized Northend Wrench since 2010, and have no plans on going elsewhere.

My goodness, these guys are amazing! Professional, yet friendly. Knowledgeable, yet humble. I've had my Porsche 996 / 911 there three times (four, if I include the track weekend tech inspection). They were recommend to me by a BMW owner. Each time the experience was the same. They always did the work I requested without pressuring me to have other work done and always did what they could to save me money. Their estimates were accurate and they kept me informed of the progress of their work without me having to call. After each job was done they explained exactly what they did and why they did it while teaching me more about my car. They always have very interesting cars there, from classics to, what appear to be, brand new cars. The last time I was there they even had an Edsel. I always end up taking pictures of at least one car while I'm there. I have seen people come in for quick fixes or tire air on their Mercedes and the crew there was happy to help. I can't say enough good things about this shop. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I have ever written a review of any establishment - that's how impressed and totally satisfied I am.

These guys are the best! I knew my car needed some major repairs and it did but these guys were able to salvage some parts saving me over $600 thankfully. I trust these guys explicitly and I will never take my car to anyone else! Even though they kept my car over the weekend, which they have never had to do, I felt better knowing that they would finish the job completely and correctly on Monday instead of rushing though things on a Fri afternoon. When you think about it, you place a lot of faith and trust in your mechanic and his/her skill and honesty. First of all, you entrust your life to them as a poor repair could result in a crash and, secondly, your vehicle is likely the most costly investment that you own, outside of your home. It needs to be properly cared for! I have worked with a lot of mechanic shops in my lifetime but Northend Wrench is top of the list. They have managed to bring my 63-year old Porsche back to life and (well, perhaps) given it even better care than I have! David is an expert on vintage German and understands the quirks of the cars. Mark is always there to track down what is needed or to field questions and Sean is an absolute pleasure to work with. They are honest and forthcoming about which repairs are necessary and which would be nice to do?but do not pose a risk to the vehicle or the passengers. I am about to entrust them with my Hyundai Santa Fe prior to a 1500-mile drive across the US and know that everything will be done correctly. I won?t have to worry that a mechanical system is going to fail and strand me in the middle of the desert southwest, a hundred miles from any assistance. Northend Wrench is the best!

Being a first time customer I was very very impressed with the care and level of professionalism displayed by the shop. My BMW caught fire under the hood and I had to find a shop to have it towed to almost immediately. I had spoken with Acceleration on high street whom was booked and recommended North End Wrench as an alternative. When I called, I was put on the tentative schedule but my vehicle was seen the day after it was towed. I was given a diagnosis and able to make the necessary steps to get my car to MAG after discovering the fire was caused by a recall all in less than 3 days. I would highly recommend this facility and I will be going to North End Wrench for most of not all of my future work.

I've been a customer of Northend Wrench since 2010. I appreciate the availability of a loaner car, and even more important, being told in advance when future repairs/replacements will be needed to my 2005 Toyota Highlander. If there seems to be something really, really serious going on, I've been told to bring it in the same day. (Fortunately what I once thought was an "out of oil" light was actually a tire air pressure light! lol) I've also gone to neighborhood shops for minor oil changes, and when I've returned to Northend Wrench for subsequent oil changes, errors were found due to the neighborhood shop oil change (too much oil added, and other minor issues). Although our 2004 Jetta is a tired, used vehicle, and not nearly as fun to work on as many of the performance and classic cars we see at Northend Wrench, we always get a fair shake from Mark and his team. While investigating a potential suspension issue on the front, they looked over the car and found a broken spring on the rear. We find that they are fair in their assessment of the vehicle and it's needs, and are not looking to identify unnecessary repairs. Our daughter drives this car and is moving out of the house soon, so it was reassuring to get a thorough look-over on the car, as getting it serviced will be more challenging once she is living closer to downtown.

The folks at Northend Wrench have always been fantastic to work with. I've been a loyal customer for years and even my fiance was so impressed with the way I was treated during a previous experience that he plans to take his car there when it next needs work. Communication is always good, the work is always quality, and I've always felt that their interactions with me have been honest, which is important to me. Two experiences with these guys concerning small issues with my car. Even though the repairs were minor/small issues, they gave me top-notch service both times and have definitely shown me that they care more about the customers convenience and making sure that your car is repaired correctly. Not sure if it is standard practice for the company but both times I have been in, the technician has come out and explained exactly what is going on with my car. I'll be using them for any work on my car including an alignment installation of four new tires very soon.

I recently had a problem with my antique car that required a tow. NEW took the car on very short notice and, along with the maintenance issue that required work, they also did a couple other items that I added to the list. Kudos. Since I started bringing the car there last year, I think I can say they are trustworthy. Dave and Mark are good communicators, which makes the experience even better. There are good mechanics out there who don't have good people skills, but the guys at NEW are technically proficient and keep you informed and will address your concerns. They don't just seem to be a car repair shop, they genuinely seem to like what they do. They are car guys.

Usually the shop is not open on weekends, but when my car broke down on Saturday, the shop was illuminated when the tow arrived with my car. Dave graciously provided a loaner car immediately and I was on my way again! I was accommodated throughout the diagnosis of the odd presentation of my car's problem and repair later in the week. I love their service!

Love these guys; no bullsh*t, they listen to your situation and do what you need. I purchased a 2005 Audi A8 and had them check it after my local mechanic did some diagnosis work couldn't do the job. These guys inspected the car, gave me a prioritized list of things that needed to be done, and completed the initial repairs under the estimated cost.

Having a mechanic you can trust is invaluable when you are not so mechanically inclined. Dave and staff have always been up front, honest, timely, courteous, willing to take us in for inspections or quick assessments on weird noises. They always have a loaner car ready for me without charge other than to replace the gas used. His service is not discounted, but you get what you pay for and peace of mind is worth every penny.

These guys are great. Mark was constantly in contact with me letting me know the status of the work they were doing. The best part... (though highly unlikely, I had luck on my side that day), they quoted me a price which was much more reasonable than other quotes I'd received, and after they got it all apart, they noticed they didn't need to replace "everything" they thought they did. So it actually saved me about 300 bucks! I'll forever use these guys in the future for work on my vehicles. Class acts, A+ service and super friendly.

I had my high mileage Suburban serviced at The Northend Wrench. The tech identified a couple of issues, one of which was a prior repair where the part had failed. They took care of the part failure under warranty, no questions. My truck has 177,000 hard miles on it, and I have the Northend Wrench maintain it. The truck is dead reliable and never lets me down, even though it receives hard use.

Would have rated 5 stars except that I never received a definitive explanation of what was wrong with my car -- carbon buildup was suspected but not certain. I will say, though, that my car has been running fine since I brought it in and it was running very rough before taking it in.

Very good experience. David takes time to explain things and genuinely seems to like cars. Mark is also helpful and takes whatever time is needed to answer questions and set up appointments. As a bonus, it is a good place to have a classic car worked on, and is close to home. It can be tough to find people willing and qualified to work on old cars. Heck, I may start bringing my Toyota in for service! I don't yet have enough experience with them to give a 5 star rating. But I will do business with them again. And I would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Generally I have a very high opinion of the Northend Wrench. This visit was a bit frustrating due to a breakdown in communication - I had to coordinate a rental car. But it all worked out.

This visit was not ideal, though not the fault of the guys at wrench. There were problems with part delivery that impacted the length of time my car was in the shop. I had figured on 2 days, not 4. However, the work done seems to be up to my usual, high expectations and I have trusted the guys with my cars for quite a few years now. I have not faith in Dave and company to tell me the truth about my car. He has saved me money and hassles in the past with advice that I trust and that, to me, is worth an occasional hiccup in anticipated repair timeframe.
